CBHA provides employment and training advice to local individuals through the Worknet Outreach programme. This includes residents of other social landlords across Waltham Forest. In addition to other services; CBHA focuses on five areas of particular need identified in the borough:
Job preparation
Job screening
Help with writing CVs and application forms
Child care and in work benefit advice
Tips for successful job interviews
Links to local training programmes
Support in dressing for success at an interview
In addition to screening people for what employment opportunities, CBHA work directly with employers such as Hilton, Sainsburys, Tescos & Clarkes. CBHA also organise work trials.
CBHA operate across the borough in Chingford, Walthamstow, Leytonstone and Leyton from YMCAs, RSLs, Schools & Community Centres. Outreach venues include: Priory Ct Community Centre, JobCentre Plus Walthamstow, Acacia Children’s Centre, Chapel End Early Years Centre & Harrow Green Library.
The Digital Learning Centre in Walthamstow is a state of the art learning hub where employability support and training is available to individuals. The centre is equipped with internet access and high quality internet facilities, telephone, photocopying and diagnostic assessment. Support is also available by a Job Centre plus lone parent advisor.
